May you and your family find the meaning on this Holy Day. Blessings from our Homes to Yours.
During the month of April, we at the Chambers and James Funeral Homes have gone green. At each of our locations we have green lights in honor of Organ and Tissue Donation Month.
We work hand and hand with the CORE (Center for Organ Recovery and Education) to bring awareness to organ and tissuedonation. Our 3rd Annual "A Gift of Life" was celebrated on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at our James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV. Many people were in attendance to help raise awareness. Eric Fithyan, Funeral Director and Delegate Phil Diserio joined together to raise the CORE Flag which will fly the month ofApril at the historical James Funeral Home. In attendance at the event were three people that spokeabout their lives which were affected through Organ and Tissue Donation, a women being a kidney donor, a mother speaking about her daughter that was a donor and a gentleman that recieved life through a heart transplant. We as a community came together to celebrate the gift of life, the gift of sharing grief and the gift of awareness. If you would like more information on how to become a donor of life or any information please call 304-527-1717 or 304-737-3551.

Our Services to our communities began in 1916, with four generations of local families, to service with care and commitment to the Ohio Valley. At Chambers and James Funeral Homes, we have a tradition of providing professional service when our friends and neighbors are experiencing difficult times. Our caring staff is committed to providing guidance and support every step of the way—through pre-planning, burial and grief support. We know the people in our community and the people know us. We are truly concerned about your well-being.
Our two funeral homes were converted from large private family homes, our facilities offer a relaxing home-like atmosphere with spacious seating and viewing areas.
Each funeral is an opportunity to honor, remember, and celebrate the life of a unique individual. There are many ways to personalize a funeral. We are experienced in developing personalized services. When the funeral is over, our service to you does not end. We can assist in family matters such as veteran benefits, social security, and insurance claims.
We are the exclusive provider for Veterans & Family Memorial Care, Veterans Burial and Cremation Society, and Christian Burial and Cremation Society. Through these programs, we offer Veterans, Christians and their families special considerations in funeral planning.
We encourage you to continue to browse the numerous services that we offer for Traditional Burial, Celebration of Life Cremations, Veteran’s Cremations, Pet Services including Burial & Cremation of all pets, Pre-arranged Burial and Cremation Services, Monuments, Pre-arrangements Transfers and information available about Grief Support.
We can transfer prearrangements from other funeral homes to your family owned Chambers Funeral Home or James Funeral Home. All you have to do is see us in action at a service or have a friend choose us to see the difference and then at no additional cost to you and no confrontation with the other funeral home, you can stop by or call for assistance and we take care of it from there. Your peace of mind and satisfaction is guaranteed.
We are always here to answer any questions, concerns or comments you have about the services that we provide.
Our staff and facilities are available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by phone or by e-mail. Please feel free to contact us. Our phone numbers are 304-737-3551 and 304- 527-1717 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
