L.I.C./Funeral Director/Preneed Counselor
Eric Fithyan is a long-time resident of Brooke County. He was born in Wheeling Hospital, son of Ernie and Teresa (McFadden) Fithyan. The Fithyan family lived on West Street, Follansbee for a short period of time, before moving to Wellsburg.
Eric became interested with music at a very young age. He trained withthe study of piano with Linda Henderickson and later David Zapka. Eric was a member of the Wellsburg Middle School Marching Band. He then became a member of the Brooke High School Marching Band, Pep Band, and Concert Band, plaing Trumpet, Mellophone,and French Horn. Eric was a member of the Brooke High School Madrigcal and Concert Choirs. He served with numerous other students in Key Club and was elected Leutenant Governor of the Northern Pandhandle of West Virginia for Key Club. Eric was a 2002 Graduate of Brooke High School with honors.
He graduated in 2004 from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and Cum Lauda from Point Park University, Pittsburgh, PA.
Eric worked as a Funeral Director with Heffner Funeral Homes, York PA and the Beinhauer Family Funeral Homes, Pittsburgh PA. He served both funeral homes as manager.
Eric then became the Director of Bereavement, Spirituality, and Volunteers Services of Cedars Community Hospice. These services at Cedars Community Hospice started from conception and grew to the largest volunteer and bereavement program of Great Pittsburgh. In addition to creating volunteer recongition receptions, fundraising events, and support groups, he was able to help individuals that are dying celebrate their life and support their families as they transition to the afterlife. "This was an honor to walk into people's lives when they are dying. It was like the poem that I went in to hold their hand, but they touched my heart," explained Eric. He was able to served with the Monroeville Rotary Club, Monroeville Area of Chambers of Commerce, Board Member of the CORE Task Force, Board Member of the Food Bank of Wilkinsburg (Wilkinsburg Community Ministies), member of Calvary Church, and Neighbors Unite Wilkinsburg.
Eric is excited and honored to be coming back to is hometown to provide meaningful services for the community. He has joined his home churches of Christ Church, Wellsburg and Brooke Hills Free Methodist Church, Wellsburg. He has been asked to serve numerous local organization and is looking into all of the wonderful things going on in the Northern Pandhandle and Brooke County.
Ellen Daughterty, Adminstrative Assistant at the Chambers and James Funeral Homes in both Wellsburg and Follansbee.
Ellen is a resident of Wellsburg WV and the former administrative assistant at the Brooke High Free Methodist Church and Regional Office of the Pittsburgh Conference of the Free Methodist Church.
Ellen has two wonderful daughters and two grandchildern that she loves spending time with.
In Ellen's spare time, she is very active in the Brooke Hills Free Methodist Church.
Ellen is very excited about working with Eric Fithyan and his staff at the Chambers and James Funeral Homes. She knows from her work with the church that each family is unique and needs assistance in planning a meaningful tribute to their loved one.
Funeral Music Coordinator / Attendant
Attilio Boni, Funeral Music Coordinator of the Chambers and James Funeral Home. His main role will be in assisting families with the proper selection of funeral music, singing at funerals as well as playing the piano or organ for the ceremony.
Attilio is a lifelong resident of Follansbee. He was educated at St. Anthony School in Follansbee and graduated from Weirton Madonna High School. Attilio began playing the organ at St. Anthony's Parish, Follansbee, WV as a young man. He continued his music over the years at Sacred Heart Parish, and currently is the Pastoral Musician at Triumph of the Cross Parish, Steubenville, OH.
Attilio has assisted his family and friends all over the Ohio Valley in preparing the music for the funeral liturgy of a loved one. He is compassiontate and understanding during a family's time of need. Attilio feels privileged to assist in the needs of his hometown community of Follansbee.
Justin Bull was born in El Dorado Arkansas. He is the son of Jim and Janie Bull. Justin is a resident of Weirton, WV. On June 5, 2000, Justin joined the Weirton Cove Company #2 Volunteer Fire Department. He was very active in the Boy Scout and obtaining rank of Eagle Scout. Justin graduated from Brooke High School in 2001. He then attended Eastern Kentucky University. Justin graduated with a certification in emergency medical techanician. He is also employeed at the Brooke County EMS since 2002 and the Weirton Area Ambulance and Rescue Squad since 2004. Justin attends church at St. Marks Lutheran Church, Steubenville, OH. In his spare time, Justin is involved as an Executive Committee Member of the Hancock County Republicans.
Fred & Jerry Chambers, & Jennifer Chambers - Ficca
Founding Family Members
Fred T. Chambers resident of Wellsburg and previous owner of the Chambers and James Funeral Homes. He was a graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1960 and went on to graduate from West Liberty State College in 1964.
He wanted to follow into his father's dreams so he went on to study and graduate from the Cincinnati Mortuary School, in 1965. He is a funeral director at Chambers & James Funeral Homes, since 1983.
Fred has always been an active member of the community. He serves the Lions Club, Elks, Loyal Order of The Moose, Rotary, Wellsburg Masonic Lodge, Follansbee Garibaldi, Cedar Lodge, West Liberty State College, and NAIA All American Baseball Team.
He is married to the former Jerry Lynch Chambers. He has three grown children, Lance Chambers, Jamie Johnson, Melissa Wright, and seven grandchildren, Tanner, Parker, Megan, and Molly, Brooks, and twins, Grayson and Findley Wright.
Fred was named the Citizen of the Year in Follansbee.
Fred, like his sister Jennifer, is excited about the transition of the Funeral Homes to new owner, Eric Fithyan. He knew the first day when he talked with Eric about this transfer that he knew he was the gentleman to carry on the Chambers name and understand the experience that he had in funeral service industry, but also the health care industry. With this experience, Eric would not only be able to serve as a funeral director but an educator in Funeral Service and Health Care.
Jerry Lynch Chambers, of Wellsburg, WV graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1961, and the Ohio Valley School of Nursing in 1964. Jerry worked as a registered nurse for the Brooke County Health Dept for ten years, Weirton Hospital for five years, and is the office manager at Chambers & James Funeral Homes. She married Fred Chambers on May 22, 1965, and they are the parents of three grown children, Lance Chambers, Jamie Johnson, and Melissa Wright. She is the proud grandparent of Tanner and Parker Johnson, and Megan and Molly Chambers, Brooks, and twins, Grayson and Findley Wright.
Jennifer Chambers - Ficca has been with the funeral home for many years. I was so excited when my families funeral home was passed off to Eric Fithyan. The experience that he brings to this organization and the community of Wellsburg and Follansbee is so great. I know that my parents would be proud of the Chambers and James Funeral Homes and Eric Fithyan as owner and funeral director. My brother, Fred and I would not have chosen any other individual other than Eric. I will continue to support him through this transition and for many years to come.

Roseanna Filberto, resident of Wellsburg, WV where she and her husband, Anthony "Tony" live. They are the proud parents of three children, A. Joseph Filberto, Ryan Weld, and Eric Filberto.
Roseanna was the owner/operator of Filberto Jewelers for many years. She is very active in the community, Roseanna, has been a city council person in Wellsburg and served on the executive board of the Wellsburg Chambers of Commerce. Roseanna is a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Wellsburg.
In Roseanna spare time she is an avid blood donor for the American Red Cross, and the Brooke and Hancock Animal Shelters.
Ernie Fithyan, Jr.
Ernie Fithyan,Jr. has a full time job as a Bus Driver for the Brooke County Schools. He is retired from the Winsor Coal Company, West Liberty. He is the proud father of Russell and Eric Fithyan.
He was born in Steubenville, OH. Ernie is the son of the late Ernie Fithyan Sr. and Wilda Neil Fithyan. He was a graduate of Steubenville Catholic Center. He is most known as a football official.
Ernie, like his wife Teresa, is honored to support his son Eric as a Funeral Director.
Teresa McFadden - Fithyan

Funeral Chaplain / Attendant
Lori Jones is a funeral chaplain with the Chambers and James Funeral Homes and is honored to be working with the staff.
Lori and her husband Duane are residents of Follansbee, WV. She currently serves with ministerial duties at the United Methodist Church of West Liberty, WV Charge, where she shares her lifelong passion for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is a Life Member of the Colliers United Methodist Church and attributes her spiritual foundational learning and ecumenical diversity to her parents, Lyn and Carolyn Fowler of Colliers, WV.
Lori is a graduate of Brooke High School, West Virginia Northern Community College with a Business Management Degree, and Franciscan Univeristy of Steubenville with a Theology Degree.
Lori welcomes the opportunity to work at the Chambers and James Funeral Services assisting the community with empathy during transitional times in their lives, while learning the funeral industry from Eric L Fithyan through the eyes of a pastor.

Cody has just joined the Chambers and James Staff and is very excited to help serve the community at the funeral homes.
Cody is a 2011 graduate of Brooke High School in Wellsburg, WV. He is attending West Libtery University, West Liberty, WV for Accounting. Cody was a part of the Brooke-Hancock Relay for Life and on the Entertainment Committee. You also see Cody helping the Wellsburg Fourth of July as a Committee Member.
Cody is the son of Delmas and Becky Rice of Wellsburg and the proud grandson of Rose Rice of Wellsburg and Ed and Ruth Stein of Wellsburg.
If you dont see Cody's friendly face at the door or in the parking lot to greet you at the Chambers and James Funeral Homes, you may find him enjoying his hobby of Fishing or on the Golf Course with his friends.
Cody is exciting about joining the team at Chambers and James Funeral Homes and working under the direction of Eric L. Fithyan.
Paul Mark Ross just recently joined the team of staff at the Chambers and James Funeral Homes. Mark has worked and continues to be employed by the Brooke County School System as a Janitor at the Franklin Primary School.
Mark and his wife Cheryl are the proud parents of Andrew and Nathan Ross.
Their family are proud members of the Brooke Hills Free Methodist Church, Wellsburg.
Jim is honored to be working at the Chambers and James Funeral Homes under the direction of Eric Fithyan.
Jim is retired after numerous years of service to the Brooke County Sheriff Department. He is also a member of the Beech Bottom Christian Church and a member of the Choir.
Jim has sung with the Community Choir when it was at St. John Catholic Church, Wellsburg, WV as a Bass and has song at numerous other churches.
Jim is pleased to be able to help hold a hand, sing a song, or touch a heart while he served his community at Chambers and James Funeral Homes.
