Obituary for David Lee Tingler Sr.

David Lee Tingler Sr. of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 2:04 PM at Trinity Medical Center, Steubenville, OH but gave the gift of life to others through donation of organs and tissue through Life Line of Ohio.

David was born on March 30, 1958 in Weirton, WV. He was the son of the late Frances and Edith (Cooper) Tingler.

David was a member of the Urban Mission Ministries, Steubenville OH. He worked in Environmental Cleanup at Mills and drove truck for 16 years for the City Rescue, Steubenville, OH. Many will remember David for being an avid fisherman, bowler on the Steelers League, and enjoying the great outdoors; but most of all for being a #1 Steeler Fan.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his three brothers, James, Ronald, and Frances Ray “Ting” Tingler, three sisters, Diane Sue Tingler, Linda Dodson, and Mary Jackson.

David is survived by his wife, Shirley Tingler of Steubenville, OH, fiancée, Lucille Mount of Mingo Junction, OH, three children, Mary Tingler, Daisy (Bobby) Clements, and David Lee Tingler Jr., all of Steubenville, OH, a step-son, Maddox Mount of Mingo Junction, OH, seven grandchildren, Keirra Adams, Gerald Simpson, Nevaeh and Macenzie Peck, and Mary Ann, Rosie and Gracie Clements, a brother, Robert Sweeney of Mingo Junction, OH, three sisters, Edith (Lester) Hartley of Akron, OH, Cathy (Danny) Weathefof of FL, Nancy Fram of Steubenville, OH, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 10:00 until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717, with Reverend Toni Hubbard, officiating.

Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Colliers, WV.
