Obituary for Elizabeth Erma Jack (Mack)

Elizabeth Erma (Mack) Jack, 86, of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 11:30AM surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH.

Elizabeth was born on October 24, 1928 in Toronto, OH. She was the daughter of the late James and Jenny (Whitaker) Mack.

She was a lifetime member of the Follansbee Methodist Church. Elizabeth was a homemaker but worked at McDonald’s in Follansbee as their baker.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded by her husband, Ernest M. Jack, her brothers and sisters, and a grandson, Eric.

Elizabeth is survived by her four children, Ernest (Shirley) Jack of Wellsburg, WV, John E. Jack of Follansbee, WV and his special friend, Sue Ann Freno of Clayton, NC, Katherine (Jerry) Shumate of Weirton, WV, and Carl (Maia) of Alexandria, VA, eight grandchildren, Lisa, Trisha, Michelle, Melissa, Lucretia, Corey, Darius, and Ava, eight great grandchildren, three brothers, James “Bill” (Virginia) Mack of Georgetown, PA, Ronnie (Georgia) Mack of Newell, WV, and Donald Mack of East Liverpool, OH, a sister, Bertha Presly of Morrow, GA, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 2:00-8:00 PM and again on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 9:00 until time of Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at James Funeral Home, 1245 Main Street, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717 with family friend, Pastor Joy Leasure, officiating.

Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV next to her husband.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth’s name to Brooke County Library, Make a Wish, or Valley Hospice.
