Obituary for Antonia Theresa "Toni" Herron (Porco)
Antonia “Toni” Theresa (Porco) Herron, 84 of Alpharetta, GA, formerly of Follansbee, WV, passed away on the Lord’s Day, Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Northside Hospital Forsyth, Cumming, GA.
Toni was born on May 21, 1938 in East Liverpool, OH. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Porco and Lenora (Tock) Porco.
Toni retired after many years as a key punch operator at Weirton Steel. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV serving on the Altar and Rosary Society. Many will remember Toni for her love of collecting M.I. Hummel figurines, shopping on QVC, and her family.
In addition to her parents, Toni was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Lee Herron.
Toni is survived by her two children, Lisa Farzad and her husband, Alan of Alpharetta, GA and Ron Herron and his wife, Angie of Blacklick, OH, four grandchildren, Alyson Farzad-Phillips and her husband, Eric, Monica Buenrostro and her husband, Jose’, Amanda Farzad and Jacob Herron and his wife, Omyra Cervantes, a great granddaughter, Brooklyn Farzad-Phillips, a brother, Jim Porco and his wife, Peggy of Delaware, OH.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 PM with a 6:30 PM Vigil Service at James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717, where funeral will commence on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 9:30 AM.
A Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV, with Father Jude Perera, presiding.
Entombment will follow at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV.
