Obituary for Brenda Jo Bass (Leonard)
Brenda Jo (Leonard) Bass, 60 of Wellsburg, WV, passed away at 6:06 AM on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV.
Brenda was born on December 7, 1960 in Wheeling, WV. She was the daughter of the late John Leonard and Linda Madeline (Raineri) Leonard.
Brenda worked at Stonerise of Wellsburg, formerly Valley Haven in the laundry department with 40 plus years of service. She served honorably in the Army. Many will remember Brenda for her love of cats, doing puzzles in the paper and being an avid Steeler fan.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Bass Jr.
Brenda is survived by her four siblings, Kathy Cross and her husband, Charles, Susan Trader and her husband, Larry, Carol Leonard and John Leonard and his wife, Joyce, all of Wellsburg, WV, six nieces and nephews, Charles Cross Jr. of Follansbee, WV, Gina Cross and her husband, Umberto of California, Richard Barr and his wife, Wendy of Mingo Junction, OH, Melissa Barr of Wheeling, WV, Johnny Leonard and his wife, Brianna of Follansbee, WV and Rachel Leonard of Wellsburg, WV, great nieces and nephews, Brionna Myers of Bethany, WV, Tim and Shawn Nale of Wellsburg, WV, Morgan Barr of Steubenville, OH, RJ Barr of Mingo Junction, OH and Sumeria Leonard of Wellsburg, WV and two great great nieces, Cydney and Annlee.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 4:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 6:00 PM at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551 with Funeral Chaplain Reverend Sharon Van Dam, officiating, along with Military Honors by the WV Army National Guard.
