Obituary for Brian Lee Finley
Brian Lee Finley, 56 of Valley Grove, WV, passed away at 9:05 AM on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at his residence.
Brian was born on January 6, 1966 in Wheeling, WV. He was the son of the late Edwin Earl Finley and Caroline “Carrie” Elizabeth (Fetterman) Finley.
Brian was Valedictorian of the 1984 graduating class of Brooke High School. He went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Army. Brian worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Truck Driver. Many will remember Brian for his love of jokes, collecting antiques and traveling the US.
In addition his parents, Brian was preceded in death by his brother, David Finley.
Brian is survived by his wife, Rebecca Finley, two children, Jonathan Edwin Finley and his wife, Tiffany of Ellwood City, PA and Megan Maxwell and her husband, Joshua of Weirton, WV, seven grandchildren, Micah, Sierra, Myah, Jasmine, Aaliyah, Arya and Levi, mother of his children, Joy Liposchak, two siblings, Craig Finley and his wife, Peggy of Wellsburg, WV and Earla Mester and her husband, Luke of Colliers, WV and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 3:30 until time of Memorial Service at 4:00 PM at Mt. Zion Church, Follansbee, WV with Minister Rodger Lancaster, officiating. Followed by Military Honors by the United States Army and the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
