Obituary for Carolyn K. Shaw Hoit (Whitla)
Carolyn K. (Whitla) Shaw Hoit, 76 of East Liverpool, OH, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2019 at the Orchards of East Liverpool, OH and Community Hospice.
Carolyn was born on May 3, 1943 in East Liverpool, OH. She was the daughter of the late Margaret “Marge” (Rosenbaum) Whitla and Harold Whitla and his wife, Donna.
Carolyn lived in the Tri-State area most of her life working as a baker for Foodland, a dispatcher for Lynn’s Ambulance Service, postal deliver and the former owner of Brookside Tavern.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her two husbands, Fred Shaw and William Hoit.
Carolyn is survived by her two brothers, James (Toni) Whitla and Gary (Marsha) Whitla, nieces, nephews, cousins and step brothers.
A private interment will be held at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV next to her husband, William.
