Cynthia VanHorn, 64 of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 9:10 AM on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at her residence under the care of her son with the assistance of Valley Hospice.

Cynthia was born on January 9, 1958, New Kensington, PA. She was the daughter of the Albert VanHorn and Virginia (Schrock) VanHorn.

Cynthia worked in the cleaning department at schools and factories in Pennsylvania.

In addition to her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by her two brothers, Virgil “Fuzzy” Albert VanHorn Jr. and Paul Leonard VanHorn.

Cynthia is survived by her five children, John Machen of Weirton, WV, Jodie Machen and his companion, Christine Pinti of Wintersville, OH, Daniel Machen of Williamstown, WV, Jason Machen of Weirton, WV and Tracie Wood of Colliers, WV, six grandchildren, Destiny, William, Christopher, Emily, Bella and Brent, a great grandson, Brandon, a sister, Linda Regina Bishop and her husband, Donald of Arizona, and numerous nieces and nephews.
