Obituary for Dolores Jean Johnson (Suciu)
Dolores Jean (Suciu) Johnson, 89 of Follansbee, WV, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Mary Jane Brooks Valley Hospice Care Center, Steubenville, OH.
Dolores was born on June 15, 1933 in Follansbee, WV. She was the daughter of the late Nick and Sybil (Wilson) Suciu.
Dolores was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Follansbee, WV. Many will remember Dolores for working as a poll worker for 45 years and the Sunshine Bakery; but most of all for her volunteer work at the Salvation Army and caring her devoted family.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Johnson in 1982, siblings, Tom and Edward Suciu, Sarah Pondo, Clara Panebianco, Sybil Newcomb and Phyllis Schoolcraft, who was her twin.
Dolores is survived by her devoted sons, Gregory Johnson and his wife, Kim and Timothy Johnson, all of Follansbee, WV, three grandchildren, Andrew and his wife, Mandy, Adam and Tracy Johnson and her fiancé Zach Coole, great grandchildren, Alexander Johnson, Charlotte Onder-Johnson, Andie Onder-Johnson and Elliot Johnson, beloved niece, Jan Yeaman and numerous nieces, nephews and church family.
Family and friends will be received 4-8 PM Thursday, October 6 and again on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717 with her Pastor Tim Colvin, officiating.
Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery Haven of Rest, Colliers, WV.
