Obituary for Earl Robert "Rob" Barnhart
Earl “Rob” “Pappy” Robert Barnhart, 67, of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 5:20 AM, on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA after a short illness.
Rob was born on March 7, 1952 in Follansbee, WV. He was the son of the late Earl Russell Barnhart and Margaret “Peggy” (Latimer) Barnhart.
Rob worked at TEAM as a Master Service Technician, where he was known as Pappy. He was a member of the Follansbee Presbyterian Church. Many will remember Rob for his love of NASCAR, racing cars with his brother, Jim in Michigan, and his love of the Java Shop, Follansbee, WV.
In addition to his parents, Rob was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jim and Joe Barnhart.
Rob is survived by his niece, Rachel (Barnhart) Iacovone and her husband, Dan of Steubenville, OH and a sister-in-law, Kitty (Mills) Barnhart of Follansbee, WV and her family that Rob loved dearly.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 5 from 10:30 AM until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at the Follansbee Presbyterian Church, across from James Funeral Home, with Pastor Frank Haas, officiating.
Interment will be held privately at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV.
