Eleanor J. (Brown) Lyke, 96, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away at 9:02 AM on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Brightwood Center, Follansbee, WV.

Eleanor was born on July 14, 1921 in Wellsburg, WV. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Vera (Nelson) Brown.

Eleanor was a member of the Wellsburg Christian Church. Many will remember Eleanor as a volunteer at the Brooke County Senior Center who enjoyed crocheting and line dancing; but most of all, who loved family time and traveling.

In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Lyke, two sons, Eugene F. Lyke and George Edward Lyke, a grandson, James S. Lyke, seven siblings, William, Robert, George, Eugene, Doris Helen Lee and Mary.

Eleanor is survived by her two daughters-in-law, AnnaBelle and Sandy Lyke, six dedicated and loving grandchildren, Debbie Leonard and her husband, Bill, Eddie Lyke and his wife, Penny, Kim Spear and her husband, Carmen, Janet Long and her husband, Jason, Eugene Lyke III and his wife, Sarah, and Robert Lyke, eight great grandchildren, Riley, Brianna, Kelsey, Danny, Jason, Gage, Kyle and Nick, two great great grandchildren and one on the way, a sister, Betty and several nieces and nephews.

Private interment will be held at Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg, WV
