Obituary for Ernest Capp
Ernest Capp, 94 of Wellsburg, WV, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at his residence under the care of his family and Amedisys Hospice.
Ernest was born on October 8, 1924 in Wheeling, WV. He was the son of the late Fred and Concetta (Maculate) Capp.
Ernest worked for the Brooke County School System with the Maintenance Department at the Bus Garage and at the family’s farm which has dairy cattle and now beef cattle. Many will remember Ernest for his love of the farm and being very kind and compassionate to everyone.
In addition to his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by his seven siblings, Josephine Papa, Rose Eden, Clara Branch, Fordin Capp, Edward Capp, Mary Johnson and George Capp.
Ernest is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joann (Staten) Capp, a son, Ernest Capp and his wife, Marianne, all of Wellsburg, WV, three grandchildren, Joshua Whitt of Wheeling, WV, Jeremy Whitt of Columbus, OH, Jenna Wilson and her husband, Mark of Columbus, OH and a great granddaughter, Audrianna and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551, with Minister Larry LeMasters, officiating.
Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland Inc., 10415 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44106.
