Obituary for Esther Faye Midcap (Burch)
Esther Faye (Burch) Midcap, 82 of Wellsburg, WV, passed away at 12:13 AM on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Liza's Place, Wheeling, WV.
Esther was born on June 25, 1938 in Wheeling, WV. She was the daughter of the late George Burch and Leoma (Vessel) Burch.
Esther was a member of the Kadesh Chapel United Methodist Church. Many will remember Esther for her beautiful smile and her gentle and loving personality, her enjoyment of flower gardening; but most of all, her Wednesday trip to the Hair Salon and the Grocery Store.
In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her dearest and loving husband of 66 years, Warren William Midcap, who died October 2020, a son, Warren Lee Midcap, five brothers, William, Harold, Lawrence, Chuck and Kenny Burch and a sister, Doris Root.
Esther is survived by her three children, William “Bill” Midcap and his wife, Wendy of Wheeling, Debbie Cunningham and her husband, John of Wheeling, WV and Christy Cornelia of Wellsburg, WV, three grandchildren, John Ruben Cunningham, Alexandra Cornelia and her boyfriend, Max Menaker and Austin Cunningham and his girlfriend, Lake Ferrara, two sisters, Ruth Henry of Wheeling, WV and Wanda Matz of Massillon, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 11:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551 with her friend, Pastor James Rahr, officiating.
Please note that limited access and social distancing will be in place during the service. All attendees will be required to wear a mask or face covering. In addition, if you are unable to attend or not feeling well, please consider sending a card or leaving an online condolence.
Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV, next to her dear husband, Warren, who passed away seven weeks ago.
