Obituary for Frances "Tootie" Anderson (Leavitt)
Frances “Tootie” (Leavitt) Anderson, 79 of Wellsburg, WV passed away at 12:20 AM on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at her residence under care of her family with the assistance of Valley Hospice.
Francis was born on August 3, 1943 in Steubenville, OH. She was the daughter of the late Guy and Faye (Crowley) Leavitt.
Francis attended the New Day Christian Center. She worked as a housekeeper at the hospital for numerous years. Many will remember Tootie for her enjoyment of reading, gardening tomatoes, camping at Big Bear; but most of all, her dedication to her family and the beauty of butterflies.
In addition to her parents, Francis was preceded in death by her sister, Mary “Sis” Guy.
Francis is survived by her husband, Malcolm “Ed” Anderson, three sons, David Maglione, Chad Maglione and his wife, Alice and Tony Maglione, all of Wellsburg, WV, two step children, Shay Anderson and his wife, Jennifer and Josh Anderson and his wife, Nicole, two sisters, Ann Ridgeway and Alice Pownall and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 11:00 until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551, with Pastor Angel Adams, officiating.
Interment will follow at Brooke Cemetery, Wellsburg, WV
