Obituary for Franklin Joseph "Uncle Chuck" Koenig
Franklin J. “Uncle Chuck” Koenig, 85 of Steubenville, OH, passed away at 8:40 PM on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Carriage Inn, Steubenville, OH.
Frank was born on October 9, 1936 in Follansbee, WV. He was the son of the late Franklin and Dallas (Stump) Koenig.
Frank worked with Mary at the Yacht Club cleaning and many years with Ross at Johnnies Florist making grave blankets. Many will remember Frank for his love of playing the Lottery.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Katherine Holtz, a sister and brother-in-law, Frances B. Moore and James R. “Jimmy” Moore and a niece, Lori Moore.
Frank is survived by his nephew, James “Jay” Moore Jr. of Steubenville, OH, niece, Glenna Kennedy and her husband, Jack of Steubenville, OH, great nieces and great nephews and great great niece and great great nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 1:00 until time of Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717 with Pastor Frank Haas, officiating.
Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery Haven of Rest, Colliers, WV.
