Gary Lynch, 74 of Beech Bottom, WV, passed away at 3:58 PM suddenly on Monday, October 11, 2021 at his residence.
Gary was born on June 29, 1947 in Wheeling, WV. He was the son of the late William Lynch and Elizabeth (Williamson) Lynch Landmeyer and Donald C. Landmeyer
Gary served proudly in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Beech Bottom Plant after 35 years. In addition to his own business, Gary’s Pool. He was a life member of the American Legion and VFW, Wellsburg, WV. Many will remember him for his love of sports.
In addition his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his first wife, Nina Otto Williams and his second wife, Patricia Lynch.
Gary is survived by children, Carrie Lombardi and Joe of Canonsburg, PA, D.J. Lynch of Beech Bottom, WV, four grandchildren, Joey, Jacob and Jason Lombardi and Cole Lynch, two siblings, Jerry Chambers and her husband, Fred T. of Daytona Beach, Florida and Richard Dick Lynch and his wife, Debby of Austin, TX and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM and again on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 11:00. AM until time of Funeral Service at 12 Noon at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551, with Pastor Dan Harry, officiating.
Interment will follow at Independence Cemetery, Avella, PA with Military Honors by the United States Marine Corps and the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VFW, C/o Chambers Funeral Home, 1030 Main Street, Wellsburg, WV 26070.
