Obituary for George Bruce Ollila
George Bruce Ollila, 73 of Follansbee, WV, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family.
George was born on May 30, 1949 in Steubenville, OH. He was the son of the late George Ollila and Delores (Fetty) Ollila.
George served in the United States Navy Reserves for several years and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV. He worked as an analyst in retirement at Weirton Steel Corp. Many will remember George for his deep love of his family and traveling to the ocean on family vacations.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his two sisters, Carol Ramsey and Janice Pepe and an infant brother, Patrick.
George is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Joan (Dalesio) Ollila, two children, Chad Ollila and his wife, Tammy of Morgantown, WV and Amy Roach and her husband, Scott of Follansbee, WV, five grandchildren, Sam and Josh Rebrook, twins, Audriana and Ava and Carlo Roach, two great grandchildren, Caden and Addison, and numerous nieces and nephews.
