Obituary for Gerald Wesley Dulaney
Gerald Wesley Dulaney, 85 of Wellsburg, WV, passed away at 9:11 AM on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Weirton Medical Center.
Gerald was born on June 14, 1937 in Wellsburg, WV. He was the son of the late Roy and Alice (Bone) Dulaney.
Gerald served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. Gerald was a retiree of Weirton Steel as a heavy equipment operator. Many will remember Gerald for his love of fishing, hunting and great outdoors; but most of all, being proud of his time in the Navy.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma (Morris) Dulaney.
Gerald is survived by his son, James Dulaney and his wife, Darlene, a granddaughter, Jamie Smith and her husband, Scott, a great grandson, Ryan Smith, all of Avella, PA, three sisters, Marla and her husband, Jim, Carolyn and Susie and her husband, Jim and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551.
Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV with Military Honors by the United States Navy and the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
