Obituary for Inez Pearle O'Shanka (Evans)
Inez Pearle (Evans) O’Shanka, 84 of Follansbee, WV, formerly of Burgettstown, PA, passed away at 7:34 AM on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2022 at Stonerise, Wellsburg, WV under the care of the staff with the assistance of Amedisys Hospice.
Inez was born on April 11, 1938 in Hooverson Heights, WV. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Pearle Inez (Brady) Evans.
Inez graduated from Follansbee High School. She worked at CNP Telephone, Follansbee, WV and Bobbie Brooks, Washington, PA. Inez was protestant by faith. Many will remember Inez for always up for a good shopping trip living the motto, “Shop 'till you Drop”.
In addition to her parents, Inez was preceded in death by her husband, James E. O’Shanka in 2004, her daughter, Kandice “Kandy” Ann O’Shanka-Webb.
Inez is survived by her beloved sister, Lorelei Hazlett of Follansbee, WV, a nephew, Donald Mark Marziale and a niece, Melissa Marie Tate.
Private family gathering will be held at the convenience of the family along with a private burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV.
