Obituary for Isabella Mary Goff (Mitchell)
Isabella Mary (Mitchell) Goff, 99 of Windsor Heights, WV, passed away at 5:13 AM on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Ann’s Country Retreat, Wellsburg, WV.
Isabella was born on Jan 26, 1923 in Windsor Heights, WV. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Mitchell and Edith Pearl (Davidson) Mitchell.
Isabella graduated from Wellsburg High School. She was a member of the Church of God Windsor Heights. She worked on the Naval Base in California as a File Clerk. Isabella then went on to work in the United States Post Office in Lakeview, MI as a mail sorter and retired at the Windsor Heights, WV office.
Many will remember Isabella as a wonderful person, always people watching. She described herself as an observer.
In addition to her parents, Isabella was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Edwin Goff and three siblings, John Archiebald Mitchell, Andrew Eugene Mitchell and Hannah Lillian Young.
Isabella is survived by nine nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews and many friends.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551 with Pastor Lori Williams, officiating.
Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV next to her dear husband, together again.
In lieu of flowers, per Isabella’s request, donations may be made to the Windsor Heights Volunteer Fire Department, PO BOX 186, Windsor Heights, WV 26075 to help serve the community she loved.
