Obituary for James Clarence Cronin
James Clarence Cronin, 60 of Follansbee, WV, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at his residence.
Jim was born on September 6, 1962 in Wheeling, WV. He was the son of the Florence (McMahon) Cronin of Beech Bottom, WV and the late, Larry Cronin.
Jim was a 1997 graduate of WV Northern Community College receiving his Associate Degree as a Registered Nurse. He worked as a RN Supervisor of the Day Shift at Dixon Healthcare, Wintersville, OH for over 17 years. Jim loved coffee, bowling, driving around and gardening. He will be remembered for his great love of animals and Star Trek.
In addition to his father, Jim was preceded in death by his dog, Schnitzel from a recent house fire.
In addition to his mother, Jim is survived by his two children, Sheala Cronin Dembe’le’ of Steubenville, OH, Christopher Cronin and his companion, Cassandra Wikert of Wellsburg, WV, four grandchildren, Alashandra, Danielle, Denisovan and Yasmina, two siblings, Debra Hall and her husband, Steven of Sierra Vista, AZ and Richard Cronin and his companion, Lauren Connors of South Dennis, MA, two nieces and a nephew, Julia, Jacob and Stacy, the mother of his children, Ligia Cronin of Wellsburg, WV and his furry companions, his dog – Chyna and cat – Oreo.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 11:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551 with Dan Harry, officiating.
Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Beech Bottom Community Christian Church, C/o Chambers Funeral Home, 1030 Main Street, Wellsburg, WV 26070.
