Obituary for Jane Anne Fox (McGowan)
Jane Anne (McGowan) Fox, 83 of Wellsburg, WV passed away at 8:52 AM on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Stonerise, Wellsburg, WV under the care of the staff with the assistance of Amedisys Hospice.
Jane Anne was born on October 6, 1938, in Wellsburg, WV. She was the daughter of the late John Park McGowan and Cora Elsie (Wolf) McGowan.
Jane Anne was a member of the Wellsburg Church of Christ. She worked as a cashier at a hospital.
In addition to her parents, Jane Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Fox, seven siblings, Loretta M. McGowan, Clara E. Wallace, Frances Bright, Lyle M. McGowan and his wife Tilda, Janet L. Miller Louis M. McGowan and Daniel McGowan
Jane Anne is survived by two brothers, John W. “Buck” McGowan and his wife Darlene and Clarence “Les” McGowan and his wife Kathy, two sisters-in-law, Margie McGowan and Tina McGowan, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551 with Minister Daniel Reugg, officiating.
Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice, C/o Chambers Funeral Home, 1030 Main Street, Wellsburg, WV 26070.
