Obituary for Judith Mae (Clifton) Holbrook
Judith Mae (Clifton) Holbrook, 82 of Weirton, WV, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Brightwood Center, Follansbee, WV, under the care of the staff and Valley Hospice.
Judith was born on November 8, 1936 in Steubenville, OH. She was the daughter of the late Frederick Mendel and Gladys Pearl (Geer) Clifton.
Judith was a member of Hope Community Christian Church, Wintersville, OH. She retired as a Registered Nurse from Ohio Valley Hospital, now Trinity Medical Center and Family Planning, both of Steubenville, OH. Many will remember her for her love of cooking, supporting the Breast Cancer Coalition, and the Animal Shelter; but most of all, for her dedication to the Lord and reading her Bible.
Judith is survived by her husband, Cecil Holbrook of Weirton, WV, three children, Lori Sokac and her husband, Anthony of Oakdale, PA, Frederick Holbrook and his wife, Melissa Schleigh of San Jose, CA, and Nicole Ashmore, and husband, Jason, three grandchildren, Jennifer Salomons and her husband, Carter, Stephanie Siegman and Sarah Morris, 11 great grandchildren, Jessica, Jaime, Nathan, Dane, Aidan, Braden, Noah, Ellie, McKenzie, Gabriel, and Cullen.
In keeping with her dedication to nursing and research, Judith remains have been donated to medical research and advancement through the Human Gift Registry at WVU. The James Funeral Home of Follansbee, WV, is honored and privileged to assist the Holbrook family and the Human Gift Registry to complete Judith final request.
