Karen Louise (Beltrame) Serafine, 71, of Colliers, WV, passed away suddenly at 12:27 AM on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV.

Karen was born on April 26, 1947 in Steubenville, OH. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Mercia (Campbell) Beltrame.

Karen attended Olde St. John Episcopal Church, Colliers, WV. She worked 31 years for the Brooke County School System starting with handicap children and later as a Secretary. Many will remember Karen for her love of spending time at the cabin, camping, reading, crossword puzzles, Jeopardy, swimming with the gals at Milsop; but most of all, for her amazing smile and her love of family.

Karen is survived by her husband of 30 years, Louis Serafine Jr. of Colliers, WV, four children, Michelle Marquis of Virgin Islands, Nicole Lydick-Murphy of Wellsburg, WV, Mikel Serafine and his wife, Nicole of Weirton, WV, Marla Blake and her husband, Ryan of Wheeling, WV, and six grandchildren, Jonathan Serafine, Ethan Murphy, Nicolas Serafine, and Gianna, Gabriella and Giulana Blake.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 PM and again on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 12 Noon until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717, with her brother-in-law, Minister John “Jack” Horvath, officiating.

Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Colliers, WV.
