Obituary for L. Jane (Echols) Mallory
L. Jane (Echols) Mallory, 90, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away at her residence on Monday, March 4, 2019 under the care of Amedisys Hospice with her brother, Victor by her bedside.
Jane was born on January 14, 1929 on the Bethany Pike, Bethany, WV. She was the daughter of the late Frank “Mort” M. and Alverda (Wareham) Echols.
Jane was a 1946 graduate of Wellsburg High School. Jane was a member of the Beech Bottom Christian Church where she played piano. Jane worked as a bookkeeper at the Beech Bottom Drug Store during her early years. She dearly loved her job working with the United Way.
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her two children, Timothy Allen Mallory and Victor Mallory Jr.
Jane is survived by her brother, Victor Echols of Scherr, WV, three nieces, Ramona Echols Ellison of Houston, TX, Regina Echols Smith and her husband, Bob, whom Jane loved dearly, of Richmond VA, and Veronica Echols Delbrugge of Richmond ,VA, three great nieces and three great nephews
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 4:00-6:00 PM and again on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551.
Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV.
