Obituary for Margaret Ann "The Cookie Lady" Malinoski (Mitchell)
Margaret “The Cookie Lady” Ann Malinoski, 75 of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 7:31 PM on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV.
Margaret was born on February 11, 1947 in Steubenville, OH. She was the daughter of the late Harry Ray Mitchell Jr. and Evelyn (McKinney) Mitchell.
Margaret was Episcopalian by denomination of faith. She was always smiling known as the Cookie Lady, the sweetest lady in town.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, William Malinoski in 2016, a brother, Harold “Buddy” Mitchell and a sister-in-law, Patricia “Patsy” Piccirillo.
Margaret is survived by her son, Wayne Malinoski of Follansbee, WV, two sisters, Sandy Shorts and her husband, James Sr. of Louise, WV and Mildred Mitchell of Follansbee, WV, a brother-in-law, Charles Malinoski and his wife, Sandy, a niece, Michelle and numerous nieces and nephews and cousin, Peggy Barkley and family.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 3:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717 with Reverend Donald Hill, presiding.
Interment will be held privately at St. John Cemetery Haven of Rest, Colliers, WV.
