Martha Elizabeth Rees, age 100, of Follansbee, WV died at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on February 10, 1918 in Pittsburgh, PA, and was adopted by the late Charles V. and Blodwin Anderson.

Martha was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she sang and played the piano. She faithfully took her children to church as they grew up. She worked as a caregiver, taking care of numerous people in the area. She was a hard-working woman who always made her family her priority.

Martha was the devoted wife of the late Rees Rees, Jr., whom she married on June 18, 1949.

Martha was the loving and devoted mother of Sharon Rae (Aaron) McCauley of Follansbee, WV, Iris Lou (the late Glenn) Ferrell of Follansbee, WV and Myron (Pamela) Rees of Wintersville, OH, proud grandmother of Jacob, Daniel, Michael, Derrick, Adam, Ashley, Mindi and Myron N. and 11 great-grandchildren, sister of Charles Anderson of Florida.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 6th from 2pm to 4pm at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee,WV where funeral services will be held at 4pm, with Pastor Tim Colvin officiating.

Interment will be private. The family would like to thank the nurses at Stonerise Healthcare and Dr. Amar Khurna, who took great care of Martha.
