Obituary for Mary Amelia Frank White (Bishop)
Mary (Bishop) Frank White, 99, of New Castle, PA, formerly of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 2:05 PM on Friday, October 4, 2019 at UPMC Jameson, New Castle, PA.
Mary was born on May 3, 1920 in Steubenville, Ohio. She was the daughter of Franklin Abraham Bishop and Sarah Romaine (Boettner) Bishop.
Mary was Presbyterian by denomination of faith. She was employed many places including a painting inspector, selling Kirby vacuum cleaners, a laborer at Weirton Steel and office cleaning. Many will remember Mary for her love of baking and embroidering and her dedication to her family. She enjoyed flying in a B-15 Airplane, Parachuting, needle point and crossword puzzles.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a son, Robert White, two step sons, Walter and Larry White, two grandsons, John Dolan II and John White, eight sisters, Sarah Salerno, Eleanor Harlan, Audrey Prekup, Nahomi Bowen, Alice Bishop, Shirley Galbrath, Linda Jones and Catherine “Betty” Bishop, and four brothers, Mark, Homer, Joe and Frank Bishop.
Mary is survived by her nine children, Romain Johndreaw of Alabama, Michael J. Fayad Jr. of Virginia, Mary Gindlesperger and her husband, Brian of Berlin, PA, Debra Grega and her husband, Richard of Carnegie, PA, Reynolds White of New Castle, PA, Rebecca Smith of New Castle, PA, Janice Dolan of South Carolina, Charles White of Florida, and George White of New Castle, PA, 31 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 12 Noon at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717, with Pastor Frank Haas, officiating.
Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV.
