Mary Madeline (Huffman) Keller, 81 of Wellsburg, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at her residence under the care of her family with the assistance of Valley Hospice.

April 3, 1939 was an extraordinary day in Braxton County, WV. It was the day Ernest and Ida Huffman welcomed their precious baby girl, Mary Madeline Huffman into this world. Mary was blessed with a daughter Violet and husband Jim Dawson and a son, Dewayne Keller, and wife Joanie with whom she resided. She was very well known for the love she had for her family. Her family grew with grandchildren, Amanda and James Brown, Fred and Amanda Keller, Michael and Jessica Dawson, Matthew and Amanda Dawson, Sonja and Levi Throckmorten, Catherine Keller and Kyle Slater, Tracy, Trinity, Jasmine, Alissa, and Christian Keller. Mary’s family continued into another generation with great-grandchildren. Mary’s homemaking skills were to be envied. She was a phenomenal a cook and biscuit maker. She loved to garden, can and freeze the produce. It has been said if Mary could fit it in a jar, she would can it! Mary prided herself on keeping an immaculate household. Mary was an avid quilter and made many masterpieces over her lifetime. They are beautiful heirlooms for anyone that has one and all the more special for all the love and care she added as they were quilted.
One of the gifts Mary had was her wonderful sense of humor, the joy she found in laughter. She was the epitome of Live, Love and Laugh.
