Obituary for Mildred M. Paesano (Stankiewicz)
Mildred M. (Stankiewicz) Paesano, 97 of Follansbee, WV, passed peacefully away in her sleep at 2:25 AM on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Gables Care Center, Hopedale, OH.
Mildred was born on September 14, 1924 in Steubenville, OH. She was the daughter of the late Victor and Helen (Nieczykowska) Stankiewicz.
Mildred was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee and for many years of the Altar and Rosary Society. She owned and operated for 30 years with her husband, John, the Spinelli Bar in addition to the working with sheet metal at Follansbee Steel. Many will remember Mildred for all of her home cooking and hospitality at her home; but most of all, for being a genuine friend to all.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, John Paesano, son-in-law, Michael Yuricic, four siblings, John, Joseph and Walter Stankiewicz and Ida Kostecki.
Mildred is survived by her two daughters, Marsha Lowe and her husband, Vaughn of Follansbee, WV and Linda Yuricic of Steubenville, OH, two grandchildren, Michelle Yuricic of Steubenville, OH and Christina Rogers and her husband, Trevor of Van Nuys, CA, a sister, Betty Bell of Steubenville, OH, brother- in-law, Tony Paesano, sister-in-law, Virginia Ludewig and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 3:00-7:00 PM with a Vigil Service at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717 where funeral will commence on Wednesday, April 13,2022 at 11:45 AM.
Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV, with Father Jude Perera, presiding.
Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV next to her beloved husband, John.
