Obituary for Nicodemus Frank "Nick" Ierise
Nicodemus “Nick” Frank Ierise, 90, of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 6:45 PM on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV.
Nick was born on January 4, 1932 in Follansbee, WV. He was the son of the late Antonio Ierise and Angelina (Leon) Ierise.
Nick served proudly in the United States Army serving five years receiving the Marksman, Good Conduct Medal and the Certificate of Achievement. He was a graduate of Bethany College with a Bachelor in Arts with Language as his focus. Nick retired from American Steel Foundry, Alliance, OH. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV.
In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in death by his sister, Victoria Ritchie.
Nick is survived by his four siblings, Mary Louise Bradley of Davidson, NC, Natalie Davis and her husband, Robert of Baltimore, MD, Theresa Griffin of Rockledge, FL and Joseph Ierise and his wife, Mary Margaret of Follansbee, WV and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephew.
Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 18, 2022 at St Anthony Catholic Church, 1017 Jefferson Street, Follansbee, WV with Father Jude Perera, presiding.
Entombment will follow at Highland Hill Memorial Gardens, Follanbsee, WV with Military Honors by the WV Army National Guard.
