Obituary for Nikolai Alexander Lukshin

Nikolai Alexander Lukshin, 74 of Wellsburg, WV, passed away at 1:59 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Allegheny Health Network, West Penn Hospital, Lawrenceville section, Pittsburgh, PA.

Nikolai was born on June 5, 1945 in Boston, MA. He was the son of the late Alexander Lukshin and Martha (Booth) Lukshin.

Nikolai served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a Huey Helicopter Pilot receiving the distinguished Flying Cross Medal. He went onto to retire as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 (CW4) from the WV Army National Guard serving during Desert Storm. He worked for Pioneer Pipe through the Pipe Fitters Union #565. Many will remember Nikolai for his bravery during his service to our Country and State of West Virginia, his enjoyment of College Football especially Ohio State; but most of all, for his love of everything Disney , his wife, Lucinda and their family.

In addition to his parents, Nikolai was preceded in death by his brother, Sasha Lukshin.

Nikolai is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lucinda (Stein) Lukshin of Wellsburg, WV, three step children, Abby White and her husband, Anthony of Parkersburg, WV, Daniel Keener and his wife, Cassandra of Wellsburg, WV and Amanda Grall and her husband, Chris of South Carolina, two daughters, Jill Lukshin-Hoff and her husband, Justin and Denise Lukshin, all of Columbus, OH, five grandchildren, Gage, Shaylea, Evan, Annamarie and Brody, a great grandson, Kade, two brothers, Miki Lukshin of Texas and Paul Lukshin and his wife, Susie of California and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 2:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 4:00 PM at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551 with his friend, Dexter Underwood, officiating. Military honors will be rendered by his comrades at the WV Army National Guard.
