Obituary for Paul Hubert Toothman
Paul Hubert Toothman, 71, of Colliers, WV, passed away at 11:40 AM on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at his residence.
Paul was born on April 27, 1947 in Steubenville, OH. He was the son of the late Hubert Earl and Mary Elizabeth (Hartung) Toothman.
Paul served proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War receiving NDSM, Air Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device 60, Combat infantryman’s badge, Parachute Badge, Vietnam Service Medal and a Bronze Star. He worked many years in High-Rise Construction and later setup Exxon Stores. Many will remember Paul for his love of motorcycles, carpentry, and music; but most of all, for playing bass with The Driftin’ Hoopie Experience.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his son, Randy Cain.
Paul is survived by his companion of 15 years, Bev Davis of Colliers, WV, a daughter, Nicole Cavaliere and her husband, Brady of Marshall, TX, four grandchildren, Raven, Randi, Remi, and Knox, three siblings, Betty Chenowerth and Robert Toothman of Weirton, WV and June Howell of Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 6:00 until time of Military Salute at 7:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV, with Military Honors by the WV Army National Guard and the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
