Obituary for Penny Katherine Rahr (Carlisle)
Penny Katherine (Carlisle) Rahr, 52 of Bethany, WV, passed away at 915 PM on 22 January 2022 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV surrounded by her children and her husband.
Penny was born on October 26, 1969 in Dalton, GA. She was the foster daughter of Bill Bain and the late Evelyn Bain.
Penny will always be remembered for her love and kindness. Her main focus was family supporting her husband through a 20 year military career. She excelled at crafting and enjoyed making gifts for family and friends. But of all things in this world, she loved being a wife and a mother more than anything.
Penny is survived by her husband of 26 years, Robert Rahr of Bethany, WV, five children, Gwendolyn Katherine Rahr of Newport News, Virginia, Eric Wyatt Rahr and his fiancé, Madison of Elm Grove, WV, Jessica Savannah Rahr , David Alan Hill and Amber Hill of Dalton, Georgia, three grandchildren, Eliana, Alison, and Hunter along with four siblings, Wanda, Debbie, Ricky and foster sister Angel.
No funeral services will be held. Penny's wishes to be cremated and her ashes spread in the ocean will be performed by her family during a private ceremony.
