Obituary for Randolph Lee "Randy" Roxby
Randolph Lee “Randy” Roxby, 69 of Wellsburg, WV, passed away at 9:45 PM on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Wheeling Hospital.
Randy was born on November 21, 1951 in Wheeling, WV. He was the son of the late Richard and Mary (Stinson) Roxby.
Randy served proudly in the United States Air Force receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal and the Air Force Medal. Sgt. Roxby was Crew Chief of C130. He was a retired truck driver from Team Sledd. Many will remember Randy for his love of fishing, hunting and camping.
Randy is survived by his wife of 13 years and companion for 29 years, Carolin (Hunt) Roxby of Wellsburg, WV, two children, Leigh Ann Gummere and her husband, Greg of Colstrip, MT and Ricky Roxby and his wife, Julie of Wellsburg, WV, two step-children, Dwight “Toby” Miller and his wife, Christy of Wellsburg, WV and Natasha Perine and her husband, Dave of Wellsburg, WV, four grandchildren, Emily, Kyle, Logan, who was his Godson, and Kaelynn, nine step-grandchildren, four siblings, Mike Roxby and his wife Nancy, Val Roxby and his wife, Juanita, Denny Roxby, and Pat Roxby and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 5:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551 with Military Honors by the United States Air Force and the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
