Obituary for Rhonda Jean Danhart (Abernethy)
Rhonda Jean (Abernethy) Danhart, 74 of Wheeling, WV, passed away peacefully at Liza’s Place, Valley Hospice Care Center, Wheeling, WV.
Rhonda was born on October 12, 1946 in Wheeling, WV. She was the daughter of the late Gerald Smith and Vera Marie (Proellachs) Abernathy. In addition to her parents, Rhonda was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Moe” Shoemaker and a sister, Susan Black.
Rhonda is survived by her husband of 25 years, William Danhart, four children, Sue Ellen (Paul) Amlong of Lakeland, FL Chris (Tina) Shoemaker of St. Clairsville, OH, Tami (John) Poole of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Melynda (Gary) Kenney of Bellaire, OH, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a sister, Jorja (Robert) Gladden and several nieces and nephews.
Per her wishes, Rhonda’s remains were donated to the Human Gift Registry of West Virginia University for the advancement of research and education.
A private family service and interment will be held privately at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV.
