Obituary for Robert "Bob" Lee McClure
Robert “Bob” Lee McClure, 70 of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 2:42 PM on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Canterbury Place – Family Hospice, Pittsburgh,PA.
Bob was born on November 23, 1948 in Wheeling, WV. He was the son of the late Homer “Chick” McClure and Betty (Brandon) McClure Martin.
Bob retired from Weirton Steel Corporation. He was a member of the NRA, Rocky Mt. Elk Foundation, Brooke County Sportsman Club and the Sugar Run Lodge. Many will remember, Bob for his love of hunting, fishing, quad riding; but most of all,for his sense of humor and story telling.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his step-father, Harry Martin.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Heather McClure of Columbus, OH, former wife of 45 years, Barbara (Baker) McClure, four siblings, Linda and Robert Scovitch of Hagerstown, MD, Doug and Patty McClure and Gary and Judy McClure, all of Wellsburg, WV, and Debra and James Kline of Hagerstown, MD and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717, Pastor Brian Knight of the Wellsburg Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV.
