Obituary for Robert "Chic" Joseph DiCiccio

Robert Joseph "Chic" DiCiccio, 68, of Follansbee, WV, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 16, 2018 in Cambridge, OH.

Chic was born on March 12, 1950. He was the son of the late Vincent and Rita (DeAnglis) DiCiccio.

He was a graduate of West Liberty State College with a BA in English, and a member of the Theta Xi fraternity. Chic worked at Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration as an account manager. He was a member of The Experience Church, Bridgeport, OH. Chic's life was family, music and golf. He was an accomplished musician playing the Alto, Tenor and Soprano Saxophone and Keyboard. Chic was also an exceptional vocalist. He was currently playing with the band Pocket Change along with the Spotlight Band at the Capital Music Theater. Throughout the years, Chic played with numerous other groups. In addition, Chic served on several boards including Upper Ohio Valley Italian Festival, Brooke County Solid Waste Authority, and The Experience Church. Many will remember Chic for his love of the Phillies and the Eagle’s, his dedication and care of his lawn; but most of all, his love of God and heart and soul for music.

Chic is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine “Gerri” (Glasure) DiCiccio of Follansbee, WV, two children, Derek DiCiccio and his wife, Megan Elliott DiCiccio and Jennifer Fuller and her husband, Stewart Fuller, a grandson, Linus Marshall Fuller, all of Dallas, TX, two siblings, Michael DiCiccio and his wife, Kathleen and Loretta Calce and their families.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 and 6:00-9:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717 and again on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at The Experience Church, 55505 National Road Bridgeport, Ohio from 9:00 AM until time of Celebration of Life at 10:00 AM with Pastor Tim Seidler, officiating.

Interment will be held privately at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Liberty University Music Department, C/o James Funeral Home, 1245 Main Street, Follansbee, WV 26037.
