Obituary for Ronald "Ronnie" Ray Perito

Ronald “Ronnie” R. Perito, 66 of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 11:05 AM on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019 at Weirton Medical Center, under the care of the staff and Valley Hospice, after a long and courageous battle with cancer and a stroke he suffered on February 2, 2019.

Ronnie was born on December 14, 1952 in Follansbee, WV. He was the son of Sandy (Mondello) Perito of Follansbee, WV and the late Ralph Perito.

Ronnie was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV. He was retired from Weirton Steel after 33 years, and then he worked for Drager Interservices for 12 years until his illness. Ronnie coached little league in Follansbee for 23 years. Many will remember Ronnie for his love of the Steelers and a good political debate.

In addition to his father, Ronald was preceded in death by his two brothers, Sp4 Joseph “Joey” P. Perito , Army KIA, and Ralph Perito, and his fur buddy, Rusty.

In addition to his mother, Ronald is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Diane (Brown) Perito, a daughter, Briana Hinkle and her husband, Daniel, two granddaughters, who held the key to his heart, Cadance DeVore and McKinley Hinkle, two sisters, Roseanna Perito and Sandra Diserio and her husband, Phil, two nephews, Joey (Laci) Maguschak and Sean Morris, nieces, Deanna Morris (Jacob Creamer), Cassie (Cory) Maynard, Carrissa (Chase) Tourville, and Carlie Diserio, and all his great nieces and nephews who he loved like his own, Olivia, Leo, Santina, Sicily, Cory, Juliana, and Rocco.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM with Vigil 7:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717 where funeral will commence on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 12:30 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 1:00 PM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1017 Jefferson Street, Follansbee, WV with Father Raju Antony, presiding. Inurnment will be held privately at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV.
