Shirley Ann (Thomas) Dorrance, 72 of Wellsburg, WV, passed away at 3:20 PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2022 at her residence under the care of her family with the assistance of Amedisys Hospice.

Shirley was born on October 31, 1949 in New Martinsville, WV. She was the daughter of Betty (Hoskin) Thomas Williams of Beech Bottom, WV and the late, Lee Thomas.

Shirley worked as a nurse for 20 years at Brightwood Nursing Center, Follansbee, WV. She was a member of St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Wellsburg, WV. Many will remember Shirley for her love of fishing and going to the casino.

In addition to her mother, Shirley is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jeffrey Dorrance, a son, Jeffrey Dorrance Jr and his fiance', Sarah Barlow, all of Wellsburg, WV, a brother, Robert Thomas and his wife, Linda of Beech Bottom, WV and her best friends, Ruby and Mick Cupp of Clearview, WV
