Obituary for Thomas Dixon "Tom" McMillan Jr.
Thomas Dixon McMillan Jr., 63 of Follansbee, WV, passed at 1:10 PM on Christmas Day, December 25, 2019 at Acuity Specialty Hospital, Weirton, WV after a brief illness.
Thomas was born on February 4, 1956 in Steubenville, OH. He was the son of the late Thomas Dixon McMillan Sr. and Roberta (Lucas) McMillan.
Thomas retired from the Brooke County Senior Center as a Van Driver; however worked earlier in life as an EMT with the Brooke County EMS. Many will remember Thomas for his dedication to the City of Follansbee as a Volunteer Fireman since 1978 with 34 years of service; but most of all, for the love of his wife and his daughters.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 11 years, Jamie (Crowe) McMillan of Follansbee, WV, two daughters, Angel McMillan of Toronto, OH and Haleigh McMillan of Follansbee, WV, a brother, Douglas McMillan and his fellow volunteer firefighters.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717 with Pastor Frank Haas, officiating.
The Follansbee Volunteer Fire Department will hold a fireman farewell during the visitation period.
