Obituary for Twila Lee (Miller) Barkasey
Twila Lee (Miller) Barkasey, 65 of Wheeling, WV, passed away at 8:41 AM on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV.
Twila was born on September 7, 1953 in Wheeling, WV. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Howard Miller and Norma Pauline (Fluharty) Miller.
Twila was a member of the Wintersville Church of Christ. She was a volunteer for Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Many will remember her for her love of crocheting, reading, animals; but most of all, her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Twila was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wayne Barkasey, an infant son, Steven Powell Jr., a great granddaughter, Arya McGee and a brother, James Miller.
Twila is survived by her two daughters, Tonya Wolfe of Wheeling, WV and Michelle Skinner and her companion, Roger of Toronto, OH, six grandchildren, Caitlin Barkasey and her husband, Austin Barrett, Isaiah and Jacob Skinner, Rick Underwood, Ashlee Powell, and Brittany Wolfe, a great grandson, Elijah Barrett, two sisters, Pauline Boring and her husband, John of Wheeling, WV and Mindi Hancher and her husband, John of Follansbee, WV, numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Stash.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 7:00-9:00 PM and again on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 10:00 until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717 with Pastor Imre Gulyas, officiating.
Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beach Bottom, WV.
