Obituary for Victor Lee Kazlman Sr.

Victor Lee Kazlman Sr., 79 of Wellsburg, WV, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at his residence.

Victor was born on January 10, 1942 in Wellsburg, WV. He was the son of the late Annie Elizabeth Kazlman Adams and her husband, Bill Adams.

Victor was a graduate of Wellsburg High School prior to leaving and serving his country proudly in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant during the Vietnam War. Upon receiving his honorable discharge, Victor was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He returned to work as a foreman at GemPak, Wellsburg, WV. Victor later worked for Swisher Inc as a Tobacco Inspector where he retired many years later. Many will remember Victor for being a die-hard football fan enthusiastly rooting on the Brooke Bruins and the WVU Mountaineers, being a member of the Wellsburg Moose and the American Legion; but most of all his quiet and warm nature.

In addition to his mother and step-father, Victor was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Blanche Beverly (White) Kazlman, a brother, William "Bill" Kazelman and sister-in-law, Joan Adams.

Victor is survived by his three children, Vonda Belle Cole Kazlman and her companion, Randy of Wellsburg, WV, Heather Christine Kazlman Cole and her husband, Michael Cole Sr. of Monroe, NC and Retired Marine Victor "Buddy" Lee Kazlman Jr. and his wife, Claire of San Diego, CA, three step-children, Keith Yost Sr., Mike Yost and his wife, Betty and Barbara Tredway and her husband, Charles, all of Wellsburg, WV, three grandchildren, John Dylan Davis of Wellsburg, WV, Michael Williams Cole Jr. and his wife, Sarah of Hemby Bridge, NC and Joey Cole and his wife, Tiffany of Marshville, NC, several step-grandchildren, three great grandchildren, Riley, Rhett and Liam Cole, numerous step-great grandchildren, a brother, Ed Adams of Kentucky, a sister-in-law, Lazetta Kazelman of New Philadelphia, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM and again on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 12 Noon until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304) 737-3551.

Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV with Military Honors by the WV Army National Guard and the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
