Warren William Midcap, 88 of Wellsburg, WV, passed away at 1:25 PM with his family by his side on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital, Wheeling, WV.
Warren was born on May 25, 1932 in Clinton, WV. He was the son of the late May (Boyd) Lewis.
Warren retired with 38 years of service at Weirton Steel Corporation as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the Mason Department. He was a member of Kadesh Chapel United Methodist Church, Beech Bottom, WV. Many will remember Warren for his love of gardening, working in the yard and hunting; but most of all, for his love of his wife, family and the farm work from his childhood.
In addition to his mother, Warren was preceded in death by his son, Warren Lee Midcap and a brother, Paul Midcap.
Warren is survived by his wife of 66 years, Esther Faye (Burch) Midcap, three children, William “Bill” Midcap and his wife, Wendy of Wheeling, Debbie Cunningham and her husband, John of Wheeling, WV and Christy Cornelia of Wellsburg, WV, three grandchildren, John Ruben Cunningham, Alexandra Cornelia and Austin Cunningham and his girlfriend, Lake Ferrara, a sister, Judy Vanhorn and her husband, Lloyd “Peanut” of Wellsburg, WV and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 11:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551 with Reverend James Rahr, officiating.
Please note that limited access and social distancing will be in place during the service. All attendees will be required to wear a mask or face covering. In addition, if you are unable to attend or not feeling well, please consider sending a card or leaving an online condolence.
Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV.
