Obituary for Willard Eugene "Scotty" Scott
Willard Eugene Scott, 86 of Colliers, WV, passed away at 12:11 PM on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.
Willard was born on September 5, 1932 in Wellsburg, WV. He was the son of the late Mary E. (Scott) Silver and Archie D. Silver.
Willard served his country proudly in the United States Army. He retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp as a turn leader prior working on the 80 inch and the blast furnace. Willard was a member of the Moose Lodge. Many will remember Willard for his love of fishing, working on vehicles, riding motorcycles, camping, playing his guitar, watching the Steelers, John Wayne Westerns, M*A*S*H and the Andy Griffith Show and dancing with his wife at the Moose; but most of the all, for spending time with his family, his furry friends - mittens and titan and his dear wife.
Willard is survived by his wife of 53 ½ years and best friend, Norma (Byers) Scott, two children, Gregory Scott and his wife, Kimberly of California and William Scott and his wife, Bobbi Jo of Follansbee, WV, seven grandchildren, Samantha Mailos and her husband, Jaydes, Tyler, Haley, Jonathan, Selena, William and Skyler Scott.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10:00 until time of Funeral Service 11:00 AM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717 with Pastor Penny Calmbacher, officiating.
Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Colliers, WV, with Military Honors by the WV Army National Guard and the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
