Obituary for Wylie Nelson McBride Jr.
Wylie Nelson McBride Jr., 77 of Colliers, WV passed away at 10:20 PM on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, 2022 at Valley Hospice Care Center, Steubenville, OH.
Wylie was born on February 12, 1945 in Steubenville, OH. He was the son of the late Wylie Nelson McBride Sr. and Clara Susan (Yost) McBride.
Wylie served proudly in the United States Army receiving the Expert Badge (Rifle). He retired after 42 years from Koppers Inc. Follansbee, WV. Many will remember Wylie for his Auction Company, McBride Enterprises and enjoyment of Flea Markets, Auctions, Fishing and Hunting.
In addition to his parents, Wylie was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Smitz.
Wylie is survived by his wife, Darlene (Poling-Popeck) McBride of Colliers, WV, three children, Wylie “Tudgie” Nelson McBride III and his wife, Steffany of Beech Bottom, WV, Susan Griffith and her husband, Derek of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Michael M. McBride and his wife, Irene of Friendswood, TX, two step-children, Sali Jafarace and his wife, Beth of Conneaut, OH and Victor RA Jafarace and his wife, Jennifer of Crafton, PA, 12 grandchildren, Jennifer, Briana, Tessa-Rae, Corey, Ryan, Emily, Michael, Matthew, Jillian Joey, Austin and Todd, three great grandchildren, Tryton, Jaxson and Jayce.
A private viewing was held at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717 with Military Honors by the WV National Guard.
