Obituary for Richard Harold Mills

Richard Harold Mills, 64, of Colliers, WV, passed away at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Brightwood Center, Follansbee, WV, with his family at his side.

Richard was born on May 25, 1951 in Steubenville, OH. He was the son of the late Steve and Wilda (Hanlin) Mills.

Richard worked at the Weirton Steel Corp in the Tin Mill as an Electrician and later as a Foreman. Many will remember Richards for being a carpenter who could build anything, avid hunter and fisherman, and truly loving his children.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his son, Richard “Richie” J. Mills, and a brother, Samuel Mills.

Richard is survived by his two daughters, Bethany “JoJo” Jewell and her husband, Jason of Columbus, OH, and Catherine McEldowney, three grandchildren, Carson, Mikayla, and Carmon Jewell, two sisters, Becky Sacripanti of Colliers, WV and Stephanie Bianchini and her husband, Jim of Liberty Twp, OH, a sister-in-law, Gail Mills of Coopersburg, PA, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, especially his buddy, Dominic Sacripanti.

Richard will be cremated under the care of James Funeral Home, 1245 Main Street, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717.

Memorial Contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or Center for Organ Recovery and Education.
