Alice Mae  Dawson
Alice Mae Dawson, 68, of Weirton, WV, originally of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 4:34 PM on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Trinity Medical Center, Steubenville, OH.

Alice was born on August 26, 1949 in Steubenville, OH. She was the daughter of the late William Dawson Jr. and Alberta (Seitz) Dawson Kruger and her husband, John Kruger.

Alice worked as a Health Associate at Cigna Healthcare and prior as an EMT for Brooke County. She always worked in the health care field and loved every moment of caring for others. Alice had many hobbies including crocheting, genealogy, tending to her garden from seeds, being a true Pittsburgh Steeler fan, and caring for her beloved cats and dogs.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her two sisters, Alexis Jablonski and Sherry Poarch and her brother, William “Sonny” Dawson.

Alice is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Altschuler and her partner, Adam Liberman of Brunswick Hills, OH and Stephanie Dawson of Weirton, WV, a grandson, Benjamin Altschuler, a brother, Charles Dawson and his wife, Rose of Wellsburg, WV, a sister, Margie Emmanuel and her husband, Ron of Indiana, and several nieces and nephews, including devoted "children", Stacy Kasprowicz and her husband, Dave, Walter Dawson and his wife, Kim and Bill Dawson and his wife, Sue.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM and again on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304) 527-1717 with Pastor Ron Davis of the Wellsburg Christian Church, officiating.

Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV.
