Obituary for Clifton Daniel "Dan" Reintzel

Clifton Daniel “Dan” Reintzel Sr., 53, of Follansbee, WV, passed away March 13, 2015 at Weirton Medical Center, WV.

Dan was born on October 22, 1961 in Washington, DC. He was the son of the late Clifton Harding “Sonny” Jr. and Dorothy (Bettis) Reintzel.

Dan served proudly as Private First Class in the United State Army during peacetime. He received the Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct, Expert Badge for rifles, and 1st Class Badge for grenades. Dan worked Samcross Machine Company as an operator. He was a member of the Belmont County Amateur Radio Club. Many will remember Dan for his love of animals, being a true artist with tattoos and other projects, and having a sense of humor and wit, but most of all, for his love and devotion to his family.

Dan is survived by his by his dedicated wife, Raynell “Sugar” (Tredway) Reintzel of Follansbee, WV, a daughter, Elizabeth Kendall and her husband, Rae, a son, Clifton Daniel Reintzel Jr. and his wife Amy, all of Martins Ferry, OH, his best friend and companion, Cruiser the Cat, several aunts, uncles, and cousins in Luray, VA and many friends.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 12 Noon until time of Funeral Service 1:00 PM at the Chambers Funeral Home, 1030 Main Street, Wellsburg, WV (304) 737-3551, with Funeral Celebrant, Eric Fithyan, presiding with an American Flag line by the WV Patriot Guard and Military Honors by the WV Army National Guard and the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.

Following the services, Dan will be cremated.
